Too Close for comfort
Hey all... What a hectic couple of days - from the jovial celebrations of London winning the 2012 olympic games, the horrific events of 7/7.... wankers!!! I was already safely in the office when we heard about the underground bombs. We where naturally all shocked, but about an hour later, there was a huge thunderous noice, our building shook... smoke everywhere... horrible burning smell...... the no30 bus had just exploded outside our office! When they called for all first aiders to report to the ground floor, nothing could have prepared me for what I saw - people staggering in, clothes literally blown off them, bloodied and screaming. I helped two women who had been on the bus at the time of the explosion - one, a 21 yr old student whose face was &*^%ed to put it lightly, the other a mother of four - also with bad head wounds. It took ages for the emergancy services to arrive as they where busy with the other three bombs and tending to the more seriously injured who couldn't get away from the bus, so we where sat there with these poor people for what seemed like ages! Glad to say that no one in our office was injured in the bombs, but a few came close - bringing grown men to tears. Our office opened today for the first time since Thursday as it was (and still is) under police investigation. Today - as if we where not on edge enough - the building was evacuated due to 'intelligent' information. (To look on the bright side, it was at lunch time, and we spent the three hours down at the pub!) The way London has picked itself up is amazing and everyone is back on the tube and buses and pulling the finger to all involved in the bombings! I say it again.... wankers! *&%$ing cowerdly bastards who deserve all that is coming to them!!!!!! Lovies to all K xx
