more competition

i had heard about virgin coming into the cellphone market in sa. i had no idea they would try their hand at banking too.

this is great news for consumers, let's hope that they can seriously offer better and cheaper service in both sectors. it's about time the big 4 banks and the big 3 cellphone operators caught a wake up call!

I'll certainly be checking it out.

Yeah, been to the VirginMobile store on Saturday... it's quite funky to be honest. Plus had a look at their offerings... I see the demise of Cell C and a knock in the MTN/ Vodacom subscriber base market.

i guess i should surf to their website and find out what they offer, although i guess that would be relative to the british banking market which i don't know much about...

i do think that they would be very competitive, they have to be in order to grab some of the market!

i bet you guys had a blast yesterday after england won?

Hey!!
Yeah - I'm actually on Virgin Mobile at the mo (on a pay as you go, and get free texts to Nicky!) Haven't looked into the Virgin money yet - quite happy at natwest - but it is all worth checking out!!
Off to watch the england / Trinidad game now (yes, I know there is still 2 hours til the end of the working day, but the rest of the team have gone to the pub already and i don't want to be sat here in the office all on my own!!!)
