taste?

i need some help, i need to know if i have bad (read: different) taste or what?

here are 5 different logos proposed for a company that has the letters 'q' and 'i' in their name, which one of the 5 do you prefer? i have my favourite and then there is the majority who have their favourite...

no 1 no 2 no 3
no 4 no 5

reminds me of this: usher was the biggest selling artist latest year (remember that horrible, horrible 'yeah' song?). i mentioned people are stupid. someone said 10 million people can't all be stupid... maybe not, but they sure don't have the same taste as me!

thanks for all the feedback everyone. a new logo was made eventually and has been accepted and is currently in use... you can check it out, if you're interested, at: www.qualityinteriors.co.za

I like option 5, maybe with an interesting dot for the i? :)

the client wants blue, black (and white) and squiggly bits... :)

Warmer colours would do the trick!

the company does built in cupboards and kitchens...

if you had to chose one (please humour me), which one tickles your fancy?

It'll depends on what their corporate image is. I would select different logos depending onwhat kind of company they were tyring to be.

I prefer the 1st one, but it depends on whether they want the people to see the i (no. 5 just looks like a Q...) no 4 is interesting but too busy, perhaps if one of the letters was in a plan font it would be the best out of the lot... but for now I say no 1

I prefer the last one, judging solely by aesthetics.

I wouldn't say people are stupid, they just don't know how to think for themselves. Maybe that's a kind of stupid...
