i took this little quiz and it turns out i am hiro...
hmm, not too sure about this one?
i didn't think i was a hero, it would be cool to time travel though!
update: i was going through some previous posts and i stumbled across this other superhero quiz i did, and they both mention that i like to help people... cool!

i'm not a fan of either, only having watched bits and pices of either, and unfortunatelty more than that sometimes. needless to say, neither rock my boat, but i have a general idea of what the storyline for both are.
so, when i spotted this, it was just too good that i just had to help spread it around the internets...

yesterday i stumbled across an article about the excessive 'sexy' being shown in music videos. i agree with the columnist, infact i noticed it be rather ridiculous when i saw the black eyed peas 'my humps' video one afternoon with a friend's 8 year old - i gringed! i haven't made a point of looking for it in music videos, i must admit, i don't even watch the looped, 20 music videos on mtv anymore. but earlier today i managed to see the video for pink's 'stupid girls' and i tell you what, she is the coolest person ever! spot on...

i had last week off in order to move our home from bloubergstrand to duynefontein. there were alot of things to be done, alot of running around to do and being accosted by a psycho woman at canal walk on friday didn't help matters much, plus i had to organise to get ed's birthday present to the new house without him knowing a thing...
all in all, the move has been acheived. the office is set-up, sort of. the network was configured but that's gone wonky. the adsl is not playing nicely either. i guess it might be networking skills though, which are not good. all other rooms are completely moved in and sorted.
i had great success in getting ed's pressie to the new house without him catching wind. i had further success in concealing what the pressie was aswell. *smile* he was ecstatic, mission accomplished.
psycho woman at canal walk? well that's a long one. here's the condensed story: paid for parking, leaving building. woman entering building. accuses me of taking her parking ticket from the machine. i deny this. she insists and grabs my paid-for parking ticket. i protest some more. she insists i've stolen her ticket. i wrestle the ticket out of her hand. she calls me all sorts of nasty things and follows me to my car. i'm flabbergasted. shaking my head, i motion to her that is infact a psycho... she's in her car next to me frantically searching for her misplaced ticket ( i hope she found it and felt like a right tit). i drive away with crumpled, torn ticket. it doesn't work at the gate but the kind parking attendant takes pity on me after i mention psycho woman and he lets me out... phew!
poor germany. i had hoped they would make it to the finals, but last night's game with the final goal in extra time was quite a kick in the balls... i'm hoping france will play well this evening and make it through to the finals.

so we're adding some plugs to one side of the wall. we knock / grind the cement away. we get the plastic tubing to go into the wall. the wires, the plugs and a bag of mortar for patching it all up afterwards.
the boys are going for it (jed and des). ed is running around like a blue assed fly and i'm showing dyan, moller and vincent some stuff in the office. they leave and i go to carry on helping the boys...
so i start taking this mortar and putting it in the wall. i'm confused though because it looks like sand... but i'm not too worried because jed has one house under his belt already and he knows what's going on.
apparently not!
the boys didn't read the instructions on the mortar ('ready mixed') package. where it said in step 2:
add cement...

yup, somehow i stumbled onto the 'smack the penguin' link, again and i managed to smack it around a few times, again... far less than the last time i tried this. which was way back when?
smack or don't. try and beat your high score - if you have the patience or time. my high score last time was less than 316!

if you're a lost addict like me and you've been following season 2 (some way or the other), you'd find this pic rather funny.
it's a parody of the ending of episode 9 (season 2)... do not view the image if you haven't seen the episode yet, it's abit of a spoiler... [via]

i've been wondering why i'm the only one posting on the blogger... i couldn't come up with anything really good though.
ed reckons it's because there's a picture of a baby (with cooties, sp?) on the page? i'll remove the picture if that'll make at least one of you post!

Guy #1: So apparently, Jodie Foster loses her daughter on this, like, plane that she designed.
Guy #2: Whoa, really?
Guy #1: Yeah, and it's supposed to be like the biggest plane ever built.
Guy #2: Wait, Jodie Foster in real life?

sky news had a very appropriate news flash banner across the screen recently:

spotted earlier today on iol:
Police offer reward for Cape artist's murder
it sounds like they want some-one to murder an artist, for a reward! surely they could've worded that abit better...

when some-one mentions pms, you think bad things right? generally speaking ofcourse. bad moods, crazy eating, crazy women... etc.
now why would anyone in right mind get a license plate that reads:
pms 24 7 wp
you're advertising that you're bitch 24 7, why? i just don't get it...
ps. i didn't have my camera on me, but this person stays in the same dorp as me - somewhere. so hopefully one day i'll see ms / mrs pms 24 7 again (and be driving behind her again, hopefully) and i'll have my camera on me!

i got the following in an email from a collegue, chances are you've seen it, but maybe you haven't... here's hoping you have a little chuckle before friday starts:
After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies. The deception wasn't discovered for 3 days.can you imagine you're ecstatic that you got a free ride, only to find yourself commited to a looney bin...

i posted something on monday afternoon and then on monday evening when showing lauren the site and getting her sign up to blog i accidentally deleted the post. i struggled for abit trying to remember what i posted and eventually i remembered it was about the very entertaining new link i have added to my links on the right hand side called "query letters i love". i particularly like this one...
and then i went on to mention that really funny heineken ad (with jennifer aniston trying to get to the last six pack on the top shelve, know what i'm talking about?). anyway, i've been asking people about it on some social occassions. i seem to like it more than others! i don't deny that it did make me smile and wonder why all ads aren't so funny and well made?
so, yeah, i've gotten lauren to sign up. but will she blog? will she post pics? i don't know, time will tell. i sure as hell hope she posts pics because she's seeing the most awesome spots in the world.
other than that i am bruised and battered from doing 4 and a half pdf to html conversions in 3 days. now i'm gonna try and remove a very stubborn virus from the accountant's pc. one last thing, if you haven't done so yet, do it now! surf the web with mozilla firefox (it's way safer than internet explorer)

on saturday we hosted a farewell party for derek, who is leaving our shores on thursday to have some fun, fun, fun in the uk. the pics have been posted in the 'misc' gallery, so hop on over and check them out.
i got a funny video clip of the current president of the us of a in my mailbox this morning. it's not very big, so have a look and a good ol' laugh at how he explains what "tribal sovereignty" is.

so last night we went to the airport to fetch simon. after months of him being away, we thought it would be appropriate to welcome him home in style (okay maybe not very stylish, but it was cool). click on the pics to enlarge...
