details:
i was contacted by the client needing a solution to making their website easier to use, easier to update and at the end of the day to have the freedom to add new information to their website when needed.
their previous website was very flashy, but abit outdated. adding new information wasn't easy and their existing asp cms (news and gallery sections) wasn't easy to use.
i convinced the client to move their hosting to hetzner so open-source technology could be used. the whole site is controlled by the client via their cms.
eliminated the images and flash of the previous design and went for text and stylesheets for better indexing with search engines. the client also has control of page titles, descriptions and keywords, for better seo.
